If there was only one thinker and rest were mere followers
we would still be in the Stone Age gathering food and hunting. The world would
not have moved on but rather come to a standstill. And you have been reading this
“world would have come to a standstill if there was only one thinker” in a
hypothetical world where the times have changed and Stone Age is history. But
fortunately we don’t live in that hypothetical world because that “hypothetical
world” is the reality of our lives!
The reality is so, because we “beg to differ”, to this my
friend Rucha Pande would say, “You do not have to beg and differ! You could
just differ”! It also differs from person to person how we choose to differ to
differ. Some “beg” to differ and some “just” differ like it was their birth
right (I fall in the latter category).
This entire phenomenon of “differing” is what, in a literature class,
would be termed as “Subjectivity”.
So with this introduction I would like to say.. HELLO!
(maybe should have said it earlier) and thank you for reading through my
rambling. Some people say that I tend to grow silent and can stare into
nothingness (if there is any such word!). But that is because things are
getting exciting inside my head/brain (whichever you use to think). Anything
happening outside just does not make sense anymore. Not that my chain of
thoughts makes a lot of sense. So through this blog I will attempt to make some
sense of “What I think!” (You see, Subjectivity!) And GUESS WHAT! I would love
it if you could disagree because that’s the entire point, is it not?
i beg to differ to your statement that there is no need to beg. The thing is, when people say, "i beg to differ", they are, more often than not, in a mood to argue till the victory song is heard. What i mean to say is, it is just a formality; people hardly beg.
